Velto Renewables advances in its plan to reach 1,000 MW of renewable energy in Spain. The company, owned by the Canadian fund CDPQ, has sealed an alliance with Kenergy, a Spanish developer with activities in Europe and Latin America, to guarantee access to a portfolio of photovoltaic solar energy projects in Spain.
Under this agreement, both companies will work together on the development of solar energy projects currently in the initial phase.
According to Lucas de Haro, Managing Director of Velto Renewables, “we started the development of new projects in Spain while we continue to implement various optimization strategies in our operational assets. “This is an important milestone in the growth of our portfolio and our contribution to the energy transition in Europe for the benefit of local communities and different interest groups.”
For a company like us, it is strategic to have a partner whose consistency, experience and long-term commitment allow us to create assets of great value for society, the environment and its shareholders,” commented Gabriel Aguirrezábal, Managing Partner of Kenergy.
The operation has had the advice of Finergreen.
