The plants will deliver power to Iberdrola’s Torrente substation at 132 kV and will provide direct renewable generation to the industrial area and surrounding areas of the city of Valencia.
It is worth noting that, more than three years ago, Kenergy opened an office in the municipality of Turís to begin publicizing the project from an early stage. It has also been able to reach agreements with more than 300 landowners thanks to its local presence.
The key factors in achieving this goal have been:
• Adapt to the soil morphology, maintaining its original structure intact, using the smallest possible area.
• Mitigate the impact on the Public Hydraulic Domain and avoid altering the current runoff from the land. Detailed flood and hydrological studies.
• Minimize soil erosion. Direct driving technique. There are no foundations on the solar park structures.
• Specific dismantling plan to revert to land use at the end of the plants’ useful life.
• Minimize visual impact on the entire surroundings of the plants. Landscape integration study conducted by a local specialist with more than 25 years of experience.
• Maintain appropriate distances from population centres and established urban areas, to the extent possible. Respect legal requirements regarding distances from any existing buildings.
• Minimize impact on evacuation lines by avoiding approaching buildings and burying some sections underground, as required by the Generalitat (Valencian Government).
